Historical Photos of the Building
"In the Beginning..."
First, you need to have a good roof, especially with a 1927 Building. This, of course, became a yearly task. Deacon Sheehan took charge of this for years.

Remember the Roof?
While coming down from the roof, Rev takes a fall. If not for the ceiling joists, Rev would have fallen 35 ft to the floor. To what end, who knows? The part of Rev that fell through the ceiling started a peeling effect on the plaster as you can see in the photos. Rev lived with minor injuries and a new path of repair had to be taken, as we will share in the next photos.
The Damage
Ceiling plaster cleanup - Balcony first, then we built a ramp to move plaster to the main floor.

Prime and repair organ grills
Organ grills got the "Gold Back" along with the ceiling and the moldings.
You can't buy them so we learn and make copies of moldings for the "Proscenium Arch" along with organ grill damage repair along with a little "Griffin Repair."
As we start on the Proscenium Arch work we felt the NASA picture of the Earth from space would work in the middle so we had to make one. At the same time we had to have angels.
Of course it's very cold inside and even after we made the molds and filled them with plaster, in order to dry them we had to make a dryingroom which was done in the ladies rest roomas seen with a heater under a grate we made. Of course we kept working on our "Angels."
They sell "Fashion Island" and Zales gives us two chandeliers to go under the balcony.
We rebuild the former projection room into a prayer room.
Of course there's always the floor which we did a section at a time. Sealing, painting, carpeting, etc...
